Ø was one of several aliased used by the late Finnish electronic musician, Mika Vainio (1963-2017). Vainio was best known as a member of Pan Sonic, but he also released music under his real name, has well as under the aliases Ø, Kentolevi, Philus and Tekonivel. During his life he released seven albums under the Ø moniker, the first of which was Metri (1994). The albums Kiteet (2020) and Sysivalo (2025) were released posthumously.
