Blackbraid is an American black metal project from the Adirondack Mountains, New York, formed in 2022. The project is the solo endeavor of its creator, Jon Krieger. Krieger is Native American, and is also known by his pseudonym Sgah’gahsowáh, a Mohawk name meaning "the witch hawk". Blackbraid's formation was first announced on February 7, 2022.
